It's a legal requirement for your vehicle to have an MOT certificate. At AJ Garage Services in Caerleon we can carry out your car MOT or your motorbike MOT.

With our state-of-the-art MOT testing centre, you can rest assured that your vehicle is in safe hands. We'll provide you with the all-important MOT test certificate and emissions data, and you can get back to the open road knowing your vehicle is safe and roadworthy.

With over 30 years' experience, our team of qualified technicians will inspect your vehicle and advise you on any repairs that need to be carried out if it fails its test.

Who tests your vehicle

The drive-through MOT bay is manned and managed by Steve, our Chief MOT Tester. While Steve concentrates on four-wheeled vehicles, we also have three other licensed MOT testers, including Andrew, who typically undertakes most of the bike MOTs in our dedicated bike MOT bay.

Vehicles we test

MOT certificates for five vehicle classes.

Cars, vans, motorbikes and 3.5 tonne trucks, all tested on site.

When does my vehicle need an MOT?
Your car must have an MOT on the third anniversary of its registration, and then on the anniversary of its last MOT once it is over three years old.
What happens if I drive without a valid MOT?
It is a legal requirement for any vehicle to have an up-to-date and valid MOT certificate. If you are caught driving without one, you could face a fine and possible prosecution.
What if my vehicle fails?
Our qualified technicians will inspect your vehicle and advise you on any repairs that need to be carried out. One customer told us: "I was taken to the vehicle and shown the item that fell short of a pass. I was able to get the work repaired quite quickly and retested and back working."
Do you MOT motorcycles?
Yes. We have a dedicated bike MOT bay, and Andrew typically carries out most of the bike MOTs. See our motorcycles page.
Can I have a service at the same time?
Yes, and it saves you time. Choose "MOT and service together" on our booking request form.
Which vehicle classes can you test?
Class 1, 2, 4, 5 and 7. For details of each class, see the official GOV.UK MOT guidance.
